Rezumat
Deşi au fost construite, în medie, cu aproximativ 35 de ani în urmă, macaralele portuare de chei Bocşa continuă să fie exploatate şi în prezent în Portul Constanţa, având o bună productivitate şi funcţionalitate. Rolele macaralelor sunt calculate cu grijă în procesul de proiectare. Însă adeseori sunt preferate metodele analitice de calcul care comportă ipoteze simplificatoare şi coeficienţi de siguranţă exageraţi, ceea ce conduce la role excesiv de groase şi masive. Calculul de optimizare cu metoda elementelor finite oferă oportunitatea unui calcul foarte precis ceea ce duce la micşorarea greutăţii şi a îmbunătăţirii comportamentului în exploatare, inclusiv la mărirea duratei de viată.

Abstract
Although built, on average, about 35 years ago, Bocşa quay port cranes continue to be operated today in the Port of Constanta, having a good productivity and functionality. The roles of the cranes are carefully calculated in the design process. However, often analytical methods of calculation are involving simplifying assumptions and exaggerated safety coefficients, which often leads to excessively thick and massive rolls. The optimization calculation with the finite element method offers the opportunity for a very precise calculation which leads to the reduction of the weight and the improvement of the operating behavior, including the increase of life duration.
