Abstract
Every company/business/economic agent (in a word, organization) wants success on the market, quality products, satisfied customers. All of this is possible due to the existence of standardization, which by definition is the "setting up of current and potential problems for the regular and repeated use of products aimed at achieving the optimal order of things in a certain context."The Romanian Standardization Association, ASRO, is a full member of: ● CEN - European Committee for Standardization (01.01.2006) and CENELEC - European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization (01.02.2006); ● ETSI - European Telecommunications Standards Institute (2005) at NSO category - National standardization bodies, and at international level at: ● ISO - International Organization for Standardization (1950); ● IEC - International Electrotechnical Commission (1920). The paper analyses Romanian standardization in European and international context, presenting some standardization artisans.
