Rezumat
Satisfacerea nevoii de mobilitate prin sporirea continuă a capacităţii de circulaţie a condus la extinderi necontrolate ale infrastructurilor rutiere cu consecinţe nefavorabile asupra utilizării terenurilor, poluării atmosferice şi degradării peisajului natural. Se impune ca echilibrul dintre cererea şi oferta de transport să fie restabilit, nu prin măsuri de investiţii în dezvoltarea infrastructurilor ci prin acţiuni de reducere sau înlocuire a nevoilor de deplasare. Lucrarea prezintă tipurile de strategii şi modalităţi, disponibile decidenţilor pentru reducerea mobilităţii, fără însă a îngrădii libertatea de deplasare a individului sau limitarea alegerii modului de transport. Sunt propuse soluţii şi sunt estimate efectele acestora prin punerea lor în aplicare pentru municipiul Bucureşti

Abstract
Satisfying the need for mobility by continuous increase traffic capacity has led to uncontrolled expansion of road infrastructure with adverse consequences on land use, air pollution and landscape degradation. Equilibrium between transport supply and demand should be achieved through actions to reduce or replace the need to travel and not by measures of investment in infrastructure development. This paper presents the types of strategies and methods available to decision makers for reducing the mobility without limiting the individual need to travel and without restricting the modal choice. Solutions are proposed and their effects are estimated by applying them in the Bucharest city.
