CERCETAREA IN DOMENIUL INGINERIEI BIOMEDICALE SI PROGRESUL IN MEDICINA

Rezumat: Ingineria biomedicala este un domeniu interdisciplinar care combina o multitudine de domenii ale stiintelor ingineresti (electronica si microelectronica, programare, mecanica, etc) cu cunostinte medicale si biochimice extrem de amanuntite referitoare la functionarea atat in ansamblu cat si la nivel de sistem sau subsistem a corpului uman atunci cand este sanatos sau bolnav, facandu-ne martorii unor realizari alta data de neimaginat in domeniul chirurgiei, imagisticii si a altor tehnici utilizate in medicina. Dezvoltarea fara precedent a aparaturii de investigare bazata pe modele complexe, constructia si utilizarea de organe artificiale din ce in ce mai performante si mai apropiate de caracteristicile biologice ale corpului uman din ultimii 10-15 ani, nu ar fi fost posibila daca nu ar fi existat si nu ar exista o activitate de cercetare foarte riguroasa si foarte avansata in domeniu la care participa atat foarte buni specialisti din domeniul ingineriei cat si din domeniul medical. Biomedical engineering is an interdisciplinary field which combine different fields of engineering sciences (electronics and microelectronics, computers programming, mechanics, and others)., with extremely detailed (extended) medical and biochemical knowledge of human body functions as a whole system and individual subsystems in disease conditions and health conditions. As results of these research we are witnessing achievements otherwise unimaginable în surgery and other techniques used in modern medicine. The unprecedented development of investigation equipments based on complex mathematical and computer aided models, the construction and use of artificial organs more performing and appropriate of the human body biological caracteristics în the last 10-15 years, would not have been possible without a very rigorous and very advanced research activity în the field of biomedical engineering conducted by both high specialized engineering and high specialized doctors.
