ANALIZA STRUCTURILOR DIN STICLĂ

Rezumat: Articolul prezintă particularităţile calcului structurilor de sticlă, evidenţiind tipurile de metodologii de modelare matematică, tipurile de analize structurale ce se pot efectua prin calcul manual şi calcul cu element finit. În a patra parte a articolului este evidenţiat un studiu de caz pe un proiect real, o balustradă de sticlă pentru un centru comercial situat în Timişoara. Această structură este abordată printr-o metodă MEF şi prin calcul manual, iar la sfârşit se realizează comparaţii între cele două metode şi se trag concluzii privind validitatea rezultatelor.

Abstract: This article showcases the particularities for designing glass structures by illustrating the different methods available for mathematical modelling, comparing the different analysis types that can be applied using automatic and hand calculation. In the 4th chapter of this article a real case study is presented regarding the design of a cantilevered glass balustrade situated in Timişoara, Romania. This structure is analysed using a FEM method and hand calculation and in the end the results are compared and conclusions are drawn regarding the efficiency of the two methods.
