Rezumat: Extinderea si gradul de amenajare a unui port comercial modern depind de importanta acestuia in economia nationala, regionala, internationala sau mondiala. Volumul si varietatea marfurilor, traficului portuar, precum si nivelul dezvoltarii economice a tarii sau a regiunii deservite, determina amploarea functiilor sale principale. Lucrarea de faţă prezintă amenajarea terminalelor de containere din portul Constanţa, respectiv evoluţia traficului containerizat prin portul Constanţa.

Abstract: The extension and degree of planning a modern commercial port depend on its importance in the national, regional, international or global economy. The volume and variety of goods, port traffic and the economic development of the country or of the serviced region determine the extent of its main functions. This paper presents the container terminal in port of Constanta and the evolution of container shipping through this port.
