Rezumat: Modelele biometrice sunt modele statistice folosite pentru verificări biometrice într-un cadru știinţific. Stadiul actual al tehnologiilor informatice şi rezultatele obţinute în acest domeniu, au permis punerea la punct a unor sisteme automate de identificare a amprentelor. În lucrare se efectuează o analiză critică a modelelor biometrice dactiloscopice actuale. Se prezintă criterii de clasificare și aplicaţii ale acestor modele în cadrul sistemelor de identificare biometrică

Abstract: Biometric models are statistical models used for biometric verification in a scientific framework. The current state of information technologies and achievements in this area has enabled the development of automated fingerprint identification systems. The paper provides a critical analysis of current biometric dactyloscopic models. It shows classification criteria and applications of these models in biometric identification systems
